2025 edition of 'Stop Thinking Like a Freelancer'
Update on the 10 year edition of the book.
Hey - just a quick update from me. I have been a bit 'stop start' with the 10 year edition of 'Stop Thinking Like a Freelancer' but it's getting close now and you'll get a copy for free if you bought the original.
Truth be told I'm having a hard time resisting the urge to change it completely and turn it into a sequel.
The information in the book is still solid; it's just 10 years on my current experience is about running an agency, not managing a company of one.
There are similarities of course, and my 2014 self was bang on the money in that even as a company of one there is huge value in creating structures, processes and systems that would make a 10 or 20 person company envious
To scratch that itch and to split the projects up I am going to be starting a podcast 'Solo to Studio' which will focus on content and guidance more appropriate to my current experience.
But I need your help. Some key questions if you're able to answer that might help steer the content and positioning for both the book and the podcast:
Do you see AI as a threat or an opportunity?
How have you seen freelancing change over the years?
Is the biggest challenge still finding new clients to work with?
If you could fix one thing in your business that you think would give the maximum return what would that be?
What stood out from your memory of the book last time around?
Also I’m right here if you would like to ask anything or lay out anything you’re struggling with right now. Just respond by email or drop me a note to liam[at]freelancelift[dot]com.
